A developer has revealed plans to build a new 70-acre business park between Ipswich and Woodbridge.

Churchmanor Estate is seeking outline permission for Seven Hills Business Park at junction 58 of the A14.

The site lies at the Seven Hills interchange of the A12 and A14. The developer says the scheme is the result of five years of talks with the local authorities and local stakeholders including parish councils.

It is proposing a "high quality" landscaped park with around 88,000m sq of offices, industrial units and warehousing - as well as facilities to support the development and a new junction on Felixstowe Road, and improvements to public transport, cycling, and pedestrian facilities.

"The masterplan for the development creates a sustainable new business park destination enhancing and developing the existing tree belts and perimeter landscaping to increase biodiversity," it said.

Ipswich Star:

The proposals includes green infrastructure and spaces - and the aim is to draw both local, national and international business, added Churchmanor, which has been involved in a host of schemes in the region including Colchester Business Park, Chelmsford Business Park, and Suffolk Business Park.

Development director Matt Cloke said: “We are very pleased to have submitted a planning application which we believe will provide the opportunity for the development of a new and highly strategically located business park.

"This site will create an exciting and much needed new employment destination to support growth in the East Suffolk area and promote new business opportunities”

Alistair Mitchell of commercial agents Fenn Wright said: “Fenn Wright represent the landowners the Orwell Settlement Trustees and are working closely with Churchmanor in progressing the application, which we are confident will be well received."
