A Coronation Street and Morning Live star is set to open Ipswich's newest attraction: a huge indoor theme park.

Kym Marsh, best known for playing Michelle Connor from 2006 to 2019, has been announced as a guest star at the Inflata Nation opening event on Tuesday, December 19.

Originally due to open in October, the opening date was pushed back last month to December.

The park will have a range of super slides, games, obstacle courses and attractions, and a ball pit with more than 400,000 balls inside.

Inflata Nation first submitted plans to open a branch in Suffolk in March 2022, proposing to convert the former Unit 17 nightclub in Cardinal Park into an indoor fun park.

Matt and Michelle Ball, the co-founders of Inflata Nation, said: "Months of hard work and dedication have gone into bringing our latest site to Ipswich and we can’t wait to open our doors to members of the public.

"The franchise has been hugely popular in major cities such as London, Glasgow and Manchester, and we firmly believe it will be a smash hit here, too."

The Inflata Nation in Ipswich will have an exclusive opening event on Tuesday, December 19, before opening to the public later in the month.

Kym Marsh returned to Morning Live alongside presenter Gethin Jones at the start of November 2023.
