There were long delays on the A14 outside Ipswich after police were called to a two-vehicle crash near the Orwell Bridge.

Officers were at the scene of the crash in the eastbound carriageway between the Copdock Interchange and the Orwell Bridge on Saturday morning.

A spokeswoman for Suffolk police said officers were initially called to a broken down vehicle and then a crash happened in the queuing traffic.

Officers were also called to a broken down vehicle near the Copdock Interchange and delays were expected in the area.

The traffic has now cleared, according to the AA map.
