A fish and chip shop near Ipswich has closed amid action by Companies House.

Ravenswood Fish & Chips, in Hening Avenue, received a compulsory strike-off from the Registrar of Companies at the end of November.

The company accounts are overdue, with their latest accounts made up to September 29, 2021, with their 2022 accounts being due on September 26 this year.

Their confirmation statement is also overdue, with their statement for 2023 required by December 16.

On the Companies House website, the business is still listed as Active, but also states that there is an active proposal to strike off.

This means that unless the company can show its accounts, then the company will be dissolved and removed from Companies House within two months of the strike-off being issued.

The strike-off has been suspended, however, as an objection has been received by the Registrar.

Ravenswood Fish & Chips have until 28 January 2024 to send the required paperwork to Companies House.
