Part of the A14 was shut on the outskirts of Ipswich after a two-vehicle crash.
Emergency services were called to the collision on the eastbound slip road for junction 55, at the Copdock Interchange, at about 5.30pm on Thursday.
A spokesman for Suffolk police said the road was closed.
It has since reopened
No injuries have been reported.
The AA Traffic Map was showing there was heavy traffic in the area, with queues as far back as junction 53 for Whitehouse in Ipswich.
