The UK's only touring sausage and cider festival which was due to come to Ipswich in February has been cancelled less than a month before the event was set to take place.
Ipswich Sausage and Cider Festival was meant to take place in the Corn Exchange in the town centre on Saturday, February 10, but will no longer go ahead.
In an email sent out to customers, which has been seen by this newspaper, the organisers stated: "Unfortunately, this event is not going ahead due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control."
The festival was set to have musical entertainment, along with more than 12 flavours of sausage and a variety of 15 uniquely flavoured craft ciders.
Tickets for the event went on sale in November, while the festival was being advertised until as recently as January 9 – when Ipswich Borough Council advertised tickets for the event on its social media pages.
All links to the Ipswich Sausage and Cider Festival, and the ticketing website for the event, have been deleted.
Sausage and Cider Festival has been contacted for more information.
