The police helicopter was called to assist with the search of a wanted person in Ipswich.
The helicopter was spotted over the IP1 area of the Suffolk town at about 7.30pm on Sunday.
A spokesman for Suffolk police said it was called to assist officers in the search of a wanted person.
The spokesman did not confirm if the wanted person was located.
