A car has been abandoned after breaking down in the middle of a flooded road.

Coddenham Road in Needham Market is impassable after a weekend of torrential rainfall.

Drivers are being urged to avoid the often submerged road.

On Sunday, Lower Road in Needham Market was left impassable for drivers after it became flooded.

The Environment Agency has issued a number of flood warnings and alerts for the whole of Suffolk this morning

The Environment Agency said: "River levels remain high, and in some places still rising. The watercourse will remain responsive to any further rainfall.

"The forecast is for a generally improving weather picture but with the chance of the odd shower pushing through the catchment.

"We are monitoring the situation."

Drivers are being warned to not drive through flood water.
