Drivers in Ipswich will be faced with a 13-mile diversion as a major town centre road is closed tonight.
The westbound carriageway in London Road will be shut from the A137 West End Road to Hadleigh Road from 7pm until 5am.
Suffolk Highways has issued the closure in order to carry out urgent carriageway repairs.
It comes after traffic was diverted through Ipswich earlier today while the High Street in Coddenham was closed for similar work.
A diversion route has been put in place for traffic in the area along the following roads:
- A1214
- A1189
- A1158
- A1189
- A14
- A1214
