A petrol station was closed after a car crashed into a pump. 

The East of England Co-op petrol station in High Road West in Felixstowe had been shut by police on Monday afternoon.

UPDATE: Felixstowe petrol station reopens after crash on forecourt

A police cordon was put in place and people are being advised to avoid the area. 

A spokesman for Suffolk police said the road would be closed in the westbound direction and the car could not be moved until the damage is assessed by the Co-op's approved experts.

No one was injured in the crash. 

The Co-op has been approached for comment.
