A Mercedes driver from Ipswich has been ordered by magistrates to pay out more than £400 after he was caught speeding in a 30mph zone in a residential street.
Aminullah Nowroz, of Christchurch Street, appeared before Lincoln Magistrates' Court on March 5.
The 30-year-old was charged with speeding after a Mercedes was recorded travelling at 40mph in Station Road in Tydd Gote, on the Lincolnshire-Cambridgeshire border.
The incident happened on July 21 last year, according to a court listing.
The case was dealt with through the single justice procedure, whereby a single magistrate supported by a legal adviser can deal with more minor summary offences that are not heard before a crown court.
Nowroz was told by magistrates to pay a fine of £220.
He was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £88, as well as costs of £110 – making the total he has to pay out £418.
Nowroz also had his driving licence endorsed with three points.
