An application to convert Air BnB accommodation into a children's home in east Ipswich has been submitted.
Ipswich Borough Council received the plans for the change of use of the house in Coniston Square East.
The application states that the building will be used to accommodate children who are looked after by the local authority.
The exterior of the building will not be altered.
The application goes on to state that children's home are "very scarce and there is currently a shortage in the landlords who are willing to agree for their home to be used as a children's home".
This is the second children's home application in the town this week, as proposals were made for a five-bedroom children's residential home in Constable Road, near Christchurch Park.
Ipswich Borough Council will make its decision on both application in due course.
