The A14 has reopened after emergency repairs to a bridge defect were carried out.
National Highways closed the westbound carriageway between junction 54 and 53 near Ipswich overnight while repairs were carried out.
One lane was closed for most of Wednesday afternoon after the defect was first spotted.
National Highways later announced that the whole carriageway would have to be closed overnight for emergency repairs.
The carriageway reopened at about 5am on Thursday.
