An Ipswich man allegedly caught behind the wheel with drugs in his system has had his trial date set.

Timothy Martin, of College Street in the town, was allegedly caught in Church Road in Hove with an excess of benzoylecgonine, one of the main metabolites of cocaine, in his system.

The incident happened on October 2, 2022.

The 34-year-old has been charged with driving a motor vehicle with a proportion of a specific controlled drug above the specified limit, which he denies.

His trial is set to begin on April 14 in Brighton Magistrates’ Court.
