Ipswich Town fans are reminded to check before they travel ahead of the East Anglian derby on Saturday.

Train strikes are set to cause disruption for supporters travelling to Carrow Road for the game with Norwich City, which kicks off at 12.30pm.

Greater Anglia will be running a reduced service, with the 10.50am train the last one arriving into Norwich from Ipswich before the game starts.

Trains from Ipswich are also due to leave at 08.39am, 09.39am and 10.39am.

James Reeve, area customer service manager at Greater Anglia, said: “We’ve worked closely with both football clubs and the British Transport Police, and people are advised to check before they travel and travel earlier or later if they can.

“We will run as many services as we can, given the action short of a strike, with a plan that is intended to ensure everyone has a safe and smooth journey.

“We would ask everyone to be patient while boarding, as we are expecting much higher than usual passenger numbers on some of the services before and after the game."
