Thousands of pounds worth of jewellery was stolen during a series of burglaries in Ipswich which are believed to be connected. 

Police are urging people to be vigilant and are appealing for witnesses after for properties in the Suffolk town were broken into last month.

The first incident took place between midday on Saturday, March 23 and Friday, March 29 in Dereham Avenue. 

A property in Rands Way was broken into between 6pm and 8.30pm on Friday, March 29. 

On Saturday, March 30 a property in Tern Road was broken into between 6.30pm and 8.40pm. 

A further burglary was reported in Limetree Drive on Sunday, March 31 and is believed to have happened between 6.30pm and 9.30pm.

Thousands of pounds worth of jewellery, cash and other items were stolen and police believe the incidents may be connected. 

Anyone with information, images or footage which could help the investigation into the burglaries should contact Suffolk police quoting the relevant crime reference number: 37/17553/24 for Dereham Avenue, 37/17424/24 for Rands Way, and 37/17603/24 for Tern Road.

Officers are urging people to be vigilant and to ensure doors are locked and security measures are in place to protect their homes and belongings.
