Customers flocked to a Waterfront bar to say goodbye to the sports and games venue which has been open for the last five years.

Wiff Waff Bar and Grill closed its doors for the final time on Sunday, with many customers taking to the bar before it closed.

Bosses of the bar took to social media to confirm the closure, after this publication first revealed it was shutting at the start of last week.

Bosses said it was closing due to "ongoing cost escalations" which made the bar "no longer viable" to continue.

The bar, which hosted regular events including quiz nights, karaoke nights and salsa and bachata classes, came as sadness to Ipswich councillors.

They did however state that whilst this closure is a disappointment, they are excited for the opening of the Loungers Bar elsewhere on the Waterfront later this year.

The final weekend saw customers enjoying the variety of sports games the venue had to offer, including pool, darts, table tennis and air hockey, with big groups flocking to the bar including a wedding party.
