A lifestyle magazine has revealed what its readers think are the best cafés in Suffolk. 

Muddy Stilettos has named four Suffolk cafés among the finalists at their annual Muddy Awards. 

The awards see readers nominate their favourite local businesses across 21 categories.

Among the finalists in the best cafés across Suffolk is The Lakehouse Café in Onehouse, near  Stowmarket.

The venue has a range of both sweet and savoury breakfast choices, while lunch options include gyros and a range of delicious burgers.

Kesgrave Kitchen is another café which has been nominated for the accolade.

It was previously voted the best café by Ipswich Star readers in 2021. 

Also shortlisted is Bay Tree Café in St John's Street, Bury St Edmunds. 

The venue, which has been run by Alex Rotherham since February 2023, has proven to be a choice among locals due to its range of scrumptious treats. 

Beccles café Old School Coffee is the final Suffolk representative in the finalists.
