A road in a village near Ipswich will be closed for almost four weeks next month.

Grove Hill in Belstead will be closed from Tuesday, May 7 to Monday, May 27 while Anglian Water carries out urgent works.

While the road is closed an eight-mile diversion route will be in place.

Access only signs will be along The Street and Grove Hill while roadworks take place.

It comes as two roads in Ipswich will close later this month for major works

Hogarth Road and Hayman Road, near Landseer Park, will be closed for more than a month to facilitate gas replacement works.

Suffolk County Council says the works will be taking place from Monday, April 29 to Monday, June 10.

Diversion routes will be in place down Bonnington Road, Landseer Road and Raeburn Road.
