A man wanted on suspicion of rape was arrested in Ipswich over the weekend.
Five people were arrested by Essex Police's operational support group during patrols across the weekend.
One of the arrests saw a man wanted on suspicion of rape arrested at a property in Ipswich on Saturday.
Two men with outstanding warrants were arrested by police, while another man was arrested for driving without insurance and failing a roadside drugs test.
Five more people have been arrested by our Operational Support Group, including one man wanted on suspicion of rape.
Chief Inspector Steve Scott Haynes said: “OSG officers are regularly out looking for wanted suspects, no matter where in Essex or our surrounding counties that takes them.
“Between these arrests they’ll be on our roads making sure drivers are staying safe. They will be supporting our local officers in your communities."
