Police officers enjoyed a special day out meeting children and families at an Ipswich charity.
Members of Suffolk Constabulary’s Sentinel team, joined by Chief Constable Rachel Kearton, visited the Bumblebee Children’s Charity in the town, the force’s nominated charity of the year.
During the visit, children were able to try on parts of the officers’ uniforms and explore police vehicles.

"We were asked to attend due to the long-standing connection PC George Harvey and Police Staff Investigator Christie Harvey have had with the charity, having taken their son there from a young age."
The Bumblebee Children’s Charity supports babies and young children with physical difficulties through sensory programmes in a supportive, family-focused environment.
Christie Harvey said the charity played a vital role in her family’s life.

"They provided Otis with physiotherapy and sensory play.
"They also provided us, as parents, emotional support, and the opportunity to spend time with other parents of children with complex needs."
She praised the charity’s impact and encouraged others to support its work.
Ms Harvey said: "All of this was provided free of charge, which is incredible given they are completely charity funded themselves.
"We will always be grateful for all their support, and encourage people to donate to such a worthwhile charity."
Rachel Kearton, chief constable, said: "It is clear, having visited, they do such important work and have such dedicated and committed staff working for them."
