Ed Sheeran brought out a new British talent at his Ipswich concert on the second night of his Portman Road gig series.

The star shared the stage with South East London singer Skye Newman, a 22-year-old artist who first made her way into the UK top 10 singles chart earlier this year.

Her biggest hit to date, Family Matters, reached number eight in the charts in May, and she performed this song with Sheeran for Ipswich crowds on Saturday night.

Sheeran posted on his social media: "I wanted to bring on some new talent tonight in Ipswich.

"This is one of my fav songs of the year, and such a huge talent.

"I’m so happy that gems like this are still being found in the UK, I think she’s gonna be massive.

"Skye, thank you for your time and spellbinding voice, and for being so cool.

"All my team loved you and your team, keep crushing it, can’t wait to hear what you do next.

"Anyone that hasn’t heard Family Matters, go listen to it immediately, and keep an eye on Skye Newman, she’s the next massive thing to come out of this island."

Sheeran brought out Westlife and sang Flying Without Wings with the band on Friday night, but Sunday's guest artist remains a secret.
