Police have praised the Ipswich crowds that attended the Ed Sheeran concerts for their “exceptional” behaviour.
Over the weekend, Sheeran completed his performances of three concerts at the home of his beloved Ipswich Town.
A spokesperson for Suffolk police said: “There was a police presence at all three events at what was a highly enjoyable event for the town.
“Overall, everyone was in good spirits.
“As expected with an event of this size there were a few calls for service for police but no serious incidents.
“Officers were well respected with the many thousands of spectators on the whole exceptionally well behaved.”
Some 90,000 people descended on Portman Road across three evenings to watch the Framlingham-raised star perform his first ticketed Ipswich gigs since Chantry Park in 2019.
In the build-up to the weekend, Ipswich turned pink in celebration of his new album Play, set to be released in September.
On Friday, fans were queuing up at Portman Road from as early as 5am to get front row positions.
