A 19-year-old from Ipswich has been handed a suspended jail term after admitting burglary and assaulting a police officer.
Azyruss Vantankeren, of Burns Road, Ipswich, was before Suffolk Magistrates' Court last month.
The teenager was charged with burglary, assaulting an emergency worker and using threatening or abusive words or behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress.
The burglary related to a number of watches being taken from an address in Cross Street, Sudbury, on March 14 this year.
The assault on an emergency worker charge related to an incident involving a police officer being attacked in Martlesham the following day, as did the third charge.
Vantankeren pleaded guilty to all three charges.
He was handed a one-year prison term, suspended for 18 months.
A court listing said the jail sentence was suspended as there is a "realistic prospect of rehabilitation".
For the burglary, Vantankeren was instructed to pay £1,000 in compensation.
No compensation was due to the police officer he attacked.
In addition, the defendant was required to abstain from alcohol for a period of 90 days.
