A Christmas pantomime is set to dazzle audiences thanks to new sponsorship.

The New Wolsey Theatre in Ipswich has announced John Grose Chery as the official sponsor of this year’s production of Beauty and the Beast, marking the 25th anniversary of its Rock ’n’ Roll pantomimes.

Sarah Frost, marketing manager at John Grose Group, said: "John Grose Chery are proud to sponsor the New Wolsey Theatre’s Christmas pantomime.

"We’re thrilled to support a festive tradition that brings joy, laughter, and supports our local community, bringing lots of festive cheer into Ipswich."

The partnership continues a strong relationship between the theatre and the car dealership, which recently supported the theatre’s schools tour of Hare and Tortoise by providing a fully electric van free of charge.

Douglas Rintoul, chief executive and artistic director of the New Wolsey Theatre, said: "Corporate partnerships are absolutely vital to what we do.

"Their support doesn’t just help us stage a spectacular pantomime, it enables us to reach more communities, create theatre that is truly inclusive, and showcase incredible talent from across our region."
