An Ipswich woman has been banned from driving for 30 months after admitting to failing to provide a breath specimen to police.
Katherine Haslam, 47, appeared before Suffolk Magistrates' Court after being charged with failing to provide a specimen for analysis.
The court heard that on Christmas Eve, Haslam was driving in Martlesham when she was suspected of having driven a vehicle and was required by police to provide a breath sample using an approved testing device.
She failed to do so without reasonable excuse during the course of an investigation into a possible drink-driving offence, the court was told.
Haslam pleaded guilty to the offence before court on Boxing Day.
Magistrates imposed a 30-month driving disqualification, which can be reduced by 30 weeks if Haslam completes an approved drink-drive rehabilitation course by September 28, 2027.
She was also fined £320, with the court noting her guilty plea.
In addition, Haslam was ordered to pay £110 in prosecution costs and a £128 victim surcharge, bringing the total amount she was instructed to pay out to £558.
A collection order was made, with the full amount to be paid by January 26.
