A signed Ed Sheeran vinyl is being raffled off to support a world record attempt taking place near Ipswich.

The signed record from the Shape of You singer will be raffled to raise money for Hope to Connect, who are planning to break the world record for the largest human cancer awareness ribbon at Trinity Park in Ipswich this April.

The world record attempt will take place on Saturday, April 11, where up to 10,000 people will form a ribbon of multiple colours to honour people who have lost their battles with cancer.

Tickets are priced at £10 and will grant three entries.

This will be the first time a world record attempt for the largest ribbon held in the UK, the current record is 8,264 people in Saudi Arabia.

Behind the event is Hope To Connect, which was co-founded by Mandeep Birdy who has lost loved ones to cancer and Emma Adam, who is currently living with stage 4 breast cancer.

Mandeep said: "We want this World Record attempt to be a legacy for all those touched by cancer.

"To remember, to celebrate and to support. Connection between strangers or friends going through a cancer journey, and families and entire communities who are supporting loved ones - that connection can be quite magical and we’re excited to invite everyone to come and break this World Record with us.”

Meanwhile Emma said: "We want to create something truly historic, showing that even through cancer, connection and community can shine the brightest.

"Every person who takes part in this world record attempt becomes part of a much bigger picture - one that represents love, resilience, and the power of connection. Mandeep and I want to create an event that truly expresses that, so we’ll make it into a fun day for all.”

Funds from the event will go towards the development of a tech start up called also called Hope to Connect, will support people living with cancer find find friend and connect with other cancer patients.
