A bar on the Ipswich Waterfront has made the 'difficult decision' to close permanently due to 'unviable costs'.
A-Listers at Aurora, which could be found at the tented building on the southern side of the Ipswich Waterfront said that "ever-rising operational costs, shifts in consumer spending habits, and wider economic pressures" have made keeping the business open impossible.
The bar and restaurant has been closed since the start of the year due to a seasonal break, but Jessica Lucas, the manager of A-Listers said that "after careful consideration" it was decided to close its doors for good.

Ms Lucas said: "After much careful consideration, we have made the incredibly difficult decision to close the doors of A Listers.
"We are immensely proud of the experiences we created, the celebrations we hosted, and the unforgettable memories shared within our space.
"It has been a genuine honour to welcome so many guests and to be chosen for life’s most special moments.

"Like many businesses within the hospitality sector, we have been navigating exceptionally challenging trading conditions.
"Ever-rising operational costs, shifts in consumer spending habits, and wider economic pressures have created a landscape that has become increasingly difficult to sustain.
"Throughout this period, our landlord has been understanding and supportive, working constructively with us as we navigated these challenges.
"Despite that collaboration and exploring every possible avenue to adapt, the current climate has ultimately made it unviable for us to continue operating at the standard and scale we set for ourselves.
"Most importantly, we want to thank our loyal guests and our incredible team. None of what A Listers became would have been possible without their dedication, support and belief in our vision.
"While A Listers is closing for now, this is not necessarily the end. We remain proud of what we built and hopeful about what the future may hold. Goodbye for now, A Listers."
A-Listers previously ran a bar and restaurant at Riverside in Woodbridge which closed in 2024.
