Here at Ipswich Star we are thrilled to be launching an amazing chance for local schools to win a share of £12,000 worth of brilliant new books!

2026 is the Year of Reading, and in partnership with Born & Read, we’re giving local schools the opportunity to improve their libraries and inspire a lifelong love of reading in every pupil. With tokens in paper from 9th March to 15th May, there’s plenty of time for your local school to win.

How it works:

• Pick up your copy of Ipswich Star every day.

• Collect tokens printed daily in the paper from 9th March to 15th May 2026.

• Then take them along to your local participating school!

Prizes include:

• 1st Place: £750 worth of books

• 2nd Place: £400 worth of books

• Bonus Draw: Any school collecting over 1,000 tokens will be entered into a draw to win one of 75 £100 book bundles

It really is that simple. Don’t let your school miss out on this fantastic prize pot – grab your first token and start collecting!

If your local school isn’t signed up yet, there’s still time to join in. Email STARschools@localiq.co.uk to register your school and start collecting.

Good luck - and get ready as it could be your tokens that win your school their share!
