An Irish band that played with Ed Sheeran will perform in an Ipswich pub this weekend.

Fishclaw, who played with the Shape of You singer when he played at the Thomas Wolsey in St Peters Street last year, will return to the pub as part of their St Patrick's Day celebration on Saturday, March 14.

The weekend will also see a 'Toucan Takeover' from Guinness, with a Split-the-G competition, special menu items and 'all round good craic' with Ireland playing Scotland in the Six Nations.

The landlord of the Thomas Wolsey, Damon Jeffery said: "[Fishclaw] are a traditional Irish band and when they played last year I said that I would them back and they said what about St Patrick's Day?

"I thought they might pull out or something come up but its all been confirmed and they are going to play for four or five hours.

"They are a really nice bunch of lads and we are really stoked to have them here, they have created a really big buzz so we are very excited."
