Passengers were facing major rail disruptions between Ipswich and London due to trespassers on the track.

Greater Anglia has said they are responding to an incident between Stratford and Shenfield, which is causing all lines to be blocked.

Train services running through these stations were delayed:

  • London Liverpool Street and Ipswich
  • London Liverpool Street and Norwich
  • London Liverpool Street and Clacton
  • London Liverpool Street and Colchester Town
  • London Liverpool Street and Braintree
  • London Liverpool Street and Southend Victoria

Network Rail staff and police attended the incident.

A spokesman for Greater Anglia said: "Disruption is expected until further notice.

"Greater Anglia and Network Rail are sorry if your journey has been affected by this disruption."

All lines have now reopened.
