A Waterfront restaurant and bar is looking to continue to have outside seating provisions after applying to continue its pavement licence.

Salthouse Harbour Hotel has submitted a pavement licence to Ipswich Borough Council to renew the licence.

If approved, it means the hotel will continue to be able to have 16 tables with 40 chairs outside the building from 7am to 11pm every day.

The bar, restaurant and hotel area is currently undergoing a £2million refurbishment.

This refurbishment is a three-part transformation which includes a complete ground floor redevelopment, a luxury waterfront spa and its own sauna boat moored on the marina.

At least 20 jobs will be created through the project.

As of the start of this week, the hotel has returned to regular operations.

The improved ground floor offers a finely crafted bar space that has reshaped the hotel’s entrance.

This area promotes a relaxed atmosphere, appealing to both morning coffee guests, those seeking light lunches, and patrons looking for evening drinks or cocktails.
