Rail passengers faced disruption after a person was hit by a train.

Trains were unable to run on the main line between Norwich and London Liverpool Street due to the incident.

It happened between Norwich and Stowmarket.

It affected some services heading between Ipswich, Stowmarket and Norwich.

A spokesman for Greater Anglia said: "Network Rail response and the emergency response team have finished their investigations and all lines have now reopened for the passage of trains.

"However, due to the train and crew displacements during the disruption, train services may still be delayed, altered or cancelled at short notice."
