As well as this, a small number of changes to the internal area of the would be allowed under the new plans.
The New Skill Centre is an independent SEND school for 11 to 16 and 16 to 19-year-olds who struggle to access mainstream or large institutions and has been operating for some years.
Planning permission had been granted to use the building as a printing press, with the unit ceasing to be used for industry in 2006.
