Kieran McKenna and his players arrived at Portman Road to a incredible roar of applause ahead of their final home game against QPR.
Portman Road turned blue from flares set off by Ipswich Town fans waiting outside the stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The team are a step away from returning to the Premier League this afternoon, currently sitting in the final automatic promotion place.
A win against QPR takes the Tractor Boys straight into the top flight at the first time of asking.

Chants of 'Promotion again, Ole, Ole,' as well as taunts of rivals Norwich echoed around the streets on the approach to the stadium, and could be heard from the town centre.
Excitement has also been building in the town all week, and ahead of the game fans were enjoying coffees and a pre match drink in cafes, pubs and restaurants around the town.

Ahead of the game, Dave, Amy and Josh Martin shared they felt "very confident about today".
They added if results did not go Town's way "they deserve the playoffs".
Another family said: "We're excited but will see which Town team turns up, the one against Southampton or the one against Portsmouth - hoping for Walton in goal, Azon up front and Philogene and Mehmeti in the starting xi as well."

Ipswich Town chairman Mark Ashton came out to applaud the fans ahead of the coach's arrival, sending awaiting fans into raptures.
Fans of all ages were joining in the festivities, cheering and chanting as the team coach made its way down Sir Alf Ramsay Way.
Smoke from blue flares filled the air around Portman Road as Ipswich Town made their way into the stadium.
As the crowd dispersed, one Ipswich fan said that "the nerves were setting in" as the blues aim for a third promotion in four years.
