Here is everything you need to know about Ipswich Town's promotion parade through the town centre.

The celebration follows the Tractor Boys' 3-0 victory over QPR on Saturday to secure promotion back to the Premier League at the first time of asking.

When is it?

An open-top bus will leave Portman Road at 11.30am, travelling through the town centre down to Christchurch Park later today.

Large screens will be installed in the park, close to the Westerfield Road entrance, allowing spectators to watch the parade live as its makes its way through the town centre.

There will be a designated viewing area in front of one of the screens for people with access requirements to enjoy the parade, with staff and security on hand to provide guidance and assistance.

What route will the bus take?

The bus will leave Portman Road stadium at 11.30am before travelling down Sir Alf Ramsey Way and Portman Road, before heading to Crown Street via Civic Drive.

From there, it's a straight drive across Bolton Lane and Westerfield Road, before arriving in Christchurch Park at 12pm.

Kieran McKenna's promotion winning team will then address fans in the park, with the celebrations expected to last until 12.45pm.

What are the restrictions?

Spectators have been told that flares and smoke grenades are not allowed.

A council spokesman said: "To keep the parade moving smoothly and the celebrations flowing, we encourage everyone to spread out along the whole route and enjoy the action from lots of great viewing spots.

"Please cheer from the pavements, stay behind barriers where they’re in place, and avoid following alongside the bus. Keeping the road clear helps the parade run safely and smoothly — so everyone, especially our younger fans, can relax and enjoy every moment!"
