A Town player has sent a clear message to his former club during the team's promotion parade.

Marcelino Núñez, who moved from rivals Norwich City, told them to "**** off" during the Tractor Boys' promotion parade on Monday.

An eyewitness heard the player say the expletive from the top of the bus while the crowd chanted his song.

The Chilean signed a four-year contract to join the Canaries' biggest rivals last August and was the first player to make the move since Andy Marshall in 2001.

In his first match against the Canaries on October 5, 2025, he was booed when he was brought onto the pitch during a 75th-minute substitution, with Ipswich Town going on to win three-nil.

After the game, Núñez celebrated with Ipswich Town fans by pulling a corner flag out of the ground and posing with a banner poking fun at a Norwich fan's old tweet.

He was met with a hostile reception on his return to Carrow Road in April in the team's 2-0 victory including a cacophony of boos upon his arrival into the game.

However, after picking up a booking and giving away two further fouls, he was subbed back off in the 84th minute.
