A milkman had to reverse down a narrow lane after he was stopped in his tracks by fly-tipped rubbish that completely blocked the road.
Stuart Innes came across the trash in Pigeon's Lane, near the junction with Swan Hill, just outside of Washbrook, on Wednesday morning.
Mr Innes said: "I had to reverse about half a mile to turn around."
Fly-tippers had left large amounts of wooden planks and sheets, general rubbish and what looks like ratan garden furniture strewn across the road.
According to Suffolk County Council, people have a legal responsibility, or Duty of Care, to make sure that all waste from their household or business is disposed of correctly.
"It is punishable by a maximum sentence of five years imprisonment and the possibility of an unlimited fine on conviction," reads the information on the website.
"Always check your waste is being disposed of by a registered waste carrier, otherwise you risk your waste being fly tipped. Anyone employed to remove waste from your home or business must have an ‘Upper Tier waste’ licence that will start with CBDU."
