A new film is encouraging people to ask life-saving questions.
Released by mental health charity Suffolk Mind during Mental Health Awareness Week, the campaign highlights the importance of reaching out to those who may be struggling, especially with thoughts of suicide.
Central to the campaign is a short film featuring voice notes expressing concern for a friend experiencing difficulties.
Ezra Hewing, head of education at Suffolk Mind, said: "Suicide prevention campaigns often focus on the need for men to ‘open up’ and ask for help.

"But researchers have learned that many men affected by thoughts of suicide have been in contact with services in the months leading up to their death.
"So ‘opening up’ or ‘reaching out’ can’t be the only answer.
"We are missing opportunities to ask about suicide before tragedies occur."
Suffolk Mind is encouraging employers, voluntary groups, and public organisations to share the film with colleagues throughout the week.
The video also offers guidance on where to direct people for help in crisis.
The campaign is funded by Public Health Suffolk and aims to make suicide prevention a shared community responsibility.
