An Ipswich pub has applied to vary its licence to serve alcohol and activities at the premises.

The application would allow The Thrasher in Nacton Road sell alcohol on and off the site, play recorded and live music as well provide entertainment if approved by Ipswich Borough Council's licenceing committee.

The Nacton Road pub is seeking permission to remain open everyday from 7.00 until 11.30am Sunday to Thursday and an hour later on Friday and Saturday.

The licence would also allow alcohol to be sold on and off the premises from 11am everyday until 11pm Sunday to Thursday and until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.

Entertainment such as the showing of films, the playing of recorded music and the performance of live music would be allowed from 6pm until 11pm every day.

Any representations for or against the licence application must be submitted to Ipswich Borough Council's licencing committee.

The Thrasher is currently undergoing a refurbishment, expecting to reopen in June, after new general manager Terry Reilly took over the running of the pub.
