Train services have been cancelled after a trackside fire disrupted the line.

Passengers travelling between Ipswich and Felixstowe have been affected after the incident near Derby Road forced the closure of the route.

The 1.58pm service from Ipswich to Felixstowe and the 2.28pm service from Felixstowe to Ipswich were both cancelled as a result.

A spokesman for Greater Anglia said: Due to a fire next to the railway near Derby Road, that has now been extinguished by the Fire Brigade, there is disruption between Ipswich and Felixstowe."

Services are expected to restart with the 2.58pm Ipswich to Felixstowe service.
