Forensic officers led police investigations after part of a town street was cordoned-off on Thursday morning.

Police attended Landseer Road - where it meets with Clapgate Lane - and cordoned-off an area around a home.

It follows several homeowners in the area calling for action after numerous incidents of anti-social behaviour on the street.

Residents told this paper that a police arrived on the scene around 6am on Thursday morning.

A police cordon was installed that stretched across the corner of Landseer Road with two police officers guarding it.

Forensic officers were deployed and were visibly examining items in the front garden of a property.

Several residents living around the cordon left their properties to investigate the scene.

After around six hours at the site, police removed the cordon and left alongside the forensic team.

At the time of writing, police are yet to issue a statement as to what took place and what their investigation found.

Karl Hunt, a Landseer Road homeowner, had a Jaguar crash into his home last month after the driver attempted a 'Tokyo Drift'.

He said: "The worst is around 10pm when cars use the road like a race track, sometimes you see two or three cars side-by-side racing and they jump the lights.

"Several times I've walked across the road and cars have jumped the red lights and they have nearly hit my daughter and I.

August last year saw a car flip onto its side as another resident raised concerns over speeding in the area.
