A shop in Ipswich which was home to a clothing brand for more than 50 years is set to be occupied once again.

Trespass, which left the town itself a few months ago, will return to the high street by taking over the former Millets store in Carr Street.

Millets, which was a staple on the high street in Ipswich for decades, closed its doors in February of this year after 54 years on the high street.

According to property developer Whybrow, Trespass will return to Ipswich after it closed its Westgate Street store.

The outdoor retailer first announced that it would be closing the store in May 2025, before the closure was pushed back several times.

In a post online, Whybrow said: "We are delighted to have secured new premises in Ipswich for outdoor clothing retailer, Trespass. After being instructed to market the former Millets store, our team quickly identified the right opportunity and negotiated terms to facilitate the relocation.

"Working to a tight timescale, we progressed the lease efficiently, helping the business retain its workforce and continue trading with minimal disruption."
