A caravan was seen in a ditch near a major Suffolk junction at the weekend as many headed on holiday.

Suffolk police confirmed they were called at just before 9.14am on Sunday, August 16, on the A12 heading Ipswich bound from Colchester.

They were called by the driver who was towing the caravan, who alerted police that it has become detached from their vehicle, before veering off the road and into a ditch.

A passer-by reported that there were delays approaching the incident, with a police car reading "police slow".

Recovery of the incident was completed by 12.50pm on Sunday.
