Drivers to face delays as three Ipswich roads to close

Drivers are being warned of delays as three major Ipswich roads are set to close.

London Road, Yarmouth Road, and West End Road will be shut from 8pm to 5am between Tuesday, September 1 and Thursday, September 17, excluding weekends.

Suffolk Highways will carry out resurfacing during this time and maintain access for businesses and residents where possible.

For the London Road closure, drivers will be diverted via A1071, A1022, A137, A14, A1214 and vice versa.

Drivers will be diverted via A1214, A1156, A1022, A1071 and vice versa for the Yarmouth Road closure.

During the West End Road diversion, drivers will be diverted via A137, A1022, A1071 and vice versa.

No works will take place on Friday, September 4, due to the Ipswich Town home game.

A spokesman for Suffolk Highways said: "Thank you for your patience during this time."
