A man has admitted arson after a van was set on fire earlier this year.

James Eaton, 38, was brought before Suffolk Magistrates’ Court on Monday, having been charged with arson earlier this year.

Reports were made to the police in the early hours of Saturday, March 7, that a van had been set on fire outside a block of flats in Chapman Lane, behind the New Wolsey Theatre.

Eaton, of Timperleys, Hintlesham, admitted the charge of arson on Monday. Speaking for Eaton.

The case was adjourned for a presentence report. A second person will stand trial after denying involvement.
