A luxury hotel is offering a three-night festive escape in the heart of the countryside.

Hintlesham Hall, the Grade I listed country house on the outskirts of Ipswich, has launched its Christmas in the Country package for 2026, promising "three days of festive indulgence" in a setting "straight out of a Christmas card."

Zoe Bell, events manager at Hintlesham Hall, said: "Christmas should be about spending quality time with the people who matter most, not worrying about cooking, cleaning or hosting.

"Our break allows guests to simply arrive, relax and enjoy everything that makes Christmas so special."

The hotel will be transformed for the season with elegant decorations, sparkling Christmas trees and roaring log fires, creating a cosy atmosphere for families, couples and friends.

Guests can look forward to festive dining, time in the historic lounges and seasonal treats.

Ms Bell said: "From the moment guests walk through our doors and see the Hall beautifully decorated, we want them to feel completely immersed in the festive spirit.

"Whether it's enjoying exceptional food, relaxing beside a roaring fire or simply making memories together in such a beautiful historic setting, we aim to create a Christmas our guests will remember for years to come."

The package is designed for those who want to "rediscover the magic of Christmas," blending timeless traditions with the comfort and service of a boutique country house hotel.

Guests are also invited to explore the surrounding Suffolk countryside, historic villages, and coastline before returning to the warmth of the hall.

A limited number of packages are available for 2026, and early booking is advised.

In January, the hotel was named by The Sun as a place that is worth a visit for its beautiful countryside, award-winning restaurant, and pretty surrounding towns.

The guide said the best way to describe the hotel in one word is "gorgeous" and noted its looks.

The 16th-century "pale peach cake-topper of a hotel" was highlighted as a great place to splurge on a special occasion.
