A man is now with police after they were seen on the roof of a shop in the centre of Ipswich.
Suffolk police have confirmed a man is now with them after they were called to reports of a man on the roof of a shop in Carr Street at 2.20am this morning.
A cordon had been put in place along the length of the street, with a fire engine extending its ladder to a building which houses Suffolk Mind Rest, Ipswich Nail Spa and a former butchers shop.
The public were being urged to avoid the immediate area, however the cordon has now been lifted.
A police spokesman said: "The man has come down from the roof and is with police officers. Further details to follow shortly."
