Monday, January 25, 2010 marks the start of an exciting programme of refurbishment work at Crown Pools in Ipswich.

The facility will benefit from a new-look changing village and a redesigned reception area during phase one of the work which is scheduled to take approximately 16 weeks.

During this first phase, the pools will remain open to the public and the programme should remain the same throughout, however, there will be temporary changing and reception facilities on the grassed area adjacent to the competition pool where customers will need to enter the facility.

Also during phase one, there will be a vast amount of 'behind the scenes' improvement work including upgrades to the pool plant which will provide better air handling, installation of a pool cover to retain heat and evaporation of water when not in use and replacement of old and redundant pool water plant.

Further work is scheduled for phase one of this investment due to begin in April 2011 and information about this will be available nearer the time
