POLICE have warned people not to approach a 6ft pet boa constrictor snake after it escaped.
The huge snake disappeared from its owner's home in Chatham, Kent, on Sunday night, a few days after it had last been fed.
Boa constrictors, which are non-venomous and kill their prey by squeezing them to death, can go for up to six months between meals.
Police are urging anyone who spots the creature not to approach it but call 999 straight away.
